Wurramatyenna and the Magic Canoe

Magic Canoe

Wurramatyenna and the Magic Canoe is beautifully written and illustrated with watercolours by Trawlwoolway artist, Lisa Kennedy. It features Tasmanian Aboriginal themes of identity, metaphor, story and language.

In the first of this series, Wurramatyenna overcomes the loss of his close friend Albatross. He is gifted a Magic Canoe in which he sets out alone, to find Albatross's Island.

Find out how he finds friendship, knowledge, trust and love, which prepare him for further adventures.
